A Short, Sweet, and Achievable Fall Activity Bucket List

Isn’t fall just the best season?

The hot days of summer are finally behind us and it’s time to grab a cozy sweater and some pumpkin treats. But absolutely nothing is better than all the fall activities! From Halloween mayhem to relaxed festivals, we’ve made a little checklist of activities you don’t want to miss out on this season!

Head to an apple festival. They’re happening all across the United States this fall and the pies are to die for! Whether you want to pick apples yourself or just buy some apple-based goodies, it’s the perfect season to be outside and enjoy what nature has to offer.

Hit up a cool hiking trail. If you’re on the east coast, we have a list of suggestions for you here. Hiking in the fall is so much better than a summer hike. Just think about it- beautiful leaves falling and no back sweat!

Get lost in the world’s largest corn maze. Looking for this fall’s biggest challenge? Head to Illinois and make your way through the most intricate and huge corn maze at Richardson Farm. We hope our Google Maps app works in there!

Or get spooked on some of the scariest hayrides. Tis the season for haunted scares! Check out this website to find a haunted hayride near you. Too tame? There’s also a list of the scariest haunted houses. Enter at your own risk…

Take that hayride to go pumpkin picking instead. A much less scary option, head to one of your local farms that offers fall activities such as pumpkin picking. This is an awesome day activity to do with your friends and most of the time there’s apple cider donuts. YUM!

Learn how to bake a pumpkin pie from scratch. Now that you’ve got the pumpkin, it’s time to break out the knives and carve into it. Check out these instructions and let us know how you do! We’ll probably be cutting funny faces into our pumpkins instead.

And when all else fails, just hit up a winery. Hate being scared by actors in frightening costumes? Pumpkin picking just too much work? You hate apples and you’re just tired? Head to a winery instead and spend the day relaxing with your friends with a glass of wine in your hand.

Be thankful! Make this fall all about reflection. Take a look around at the people in your life who support you and make sure they know it! “I love you” can be implied a lot of the time, but it doesn’t hurt to say it out loud too.
